Firstly, Two-Way Radio have a range of approximately 650m in town.
Secondly in open countryside, our digital radios have a range of approximately 6km depending on terrain (basically hills getting in the way!).

Like most Two-Way Radio hire companies, we generally supply “50% chargers”. This means we’ll provide sufficient chargers to charge half the Two-Way Radio at once. However they will be fully charged when you receive them from us.

We say “digital”. Not only will the battery life be slightly better, but in addition you should get a slightly increased range out of them.

The expected battery life is eight hours with typical use (5% transmit, 5% receive and 90% standby). Batteries will take approximately 1 hour for a rapid (90%) charge. At this point the charging indicator on the base will flash green. Full charge takes around 3 hours.

Yes you need an Ofcom licence to use higher powered units. However don’t worry! We’ll supply you with a paper copy of our licence if requested , which will cover you.

A repeater extends the range of Two-Way Radios. It basically consists of a box of electronics and an antenna which you put somewhere high in the centre of the area where you need coverage. It gives you a much greater range on 2 channels.

Most of our Two-Way Radio customers use earpieces with the radios. Firstly it means that conversations can be heard in a noisy environment. Secondly it give you more privacy as it means your radios’ conversations won’t be heard by members of the public. Radios to be accompanied by Single chargers, Six-Way Charges & D-Shape Earpieces.

Our radios have 16 standard (radio to radio) channels. This means you can choose whether you put everyone on the same channel or divide them into groups.

We normally accept payment via BACS transfer, Pay Pal or cash prior to dispatching. on you receiving invoice, we offer 14 day payment terms (with a purchase order). all paper work must be completed payment made in full before the equipment can be dispatched.
